A political organization is a political party or political interest group that helps advance the needs of a politician, political viewpoint or specific political cause. If a person is interested in issues such as family values, abortion, civil rights or freedom of speech, they can usually find a political organization that shares their beliefs. A political organization may also work with political parties and political candidates to help them gain ground in local and national elections. Political campaigns for congress, mayoral positions and many more will often rely on political organizations to help them.
